I’m going to be completely honest with you... This photo is a partial fib.

On the outside, I’m smiling, my eyes are bright, and I look like I have it all perfectly mapped out. But if you swipe to the next slide and watch me prep for this podcast interview (muted, because nobody needs to hear my nervous deep breathing), you’re looking at what unfiltered experimentation actually looks like.

My insides? Quaking. My brain? Screaming, "Do I have enough research for this? What if I say something weird and look like an idiot?" on loop.

But here is what I realize on the daily: My entire life is a living laboratory. I learn from reading the course material and my workshop notes; however, the true progress comes from running headfirst into the experience, making glorious mistakes, and reporting back on what actually works.

Progress isn't going to wait for my stage fright to disappear. It happens when I decide that the experiment is worth the mess.

I showed up and did the thing scared. And honestly? I haven't listened to the final cut yet, so we are on this trip together, weird, unpolished moments and all!

🪵 The Simple Tried and True Framework:
01. Keep it to a Top 3: Don't try to rewrite your whole life at once. Jot down your 3 biggest "aha" moments before the buzz fades. Just 3!

02. Pick your ONE thing: Doing everything at once = zero progress. Ask yourself: What would make the biggest difference right now? Everything else can wait.

03. Make it micro: If a goal feels heavy, it’s too big. Shrink it down to a 15 minute task (write one email, make one outline).

04. Check in weekly: Block out just 10 minutes a week to review your progress and adjust.

05. Find your person: You are 95% more likely to hit a goal with regular check ins. Find a coach, a biz bestie, or a mastermind. Accountability is just having someone in your corner who believes in your follow-through.

💡 The Bottom Line: You don't have to change everything overnight. Just take that very first micro-step today.

I open up about being right where you are. I was literally ugly crying over a mountain of resources, wondering why I couldn't just take action after spending thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours trying to change.

As a natural researcher (and someone who has survived a lot of trial and error), I learned the hard way: We hoard data when we don't trust the foundation we are building on. We try to study our way out of the fear of making a mistake. But information hoarding is just a coping mechanism for a lack of a real, stable system.

You don't need more surface level fluff or another generic PDF. You need a solid foundation and a clear, bite sized roadmap to execution so you can actually experiment safely.

I spent the last few days at Hollyhock Leadership Centre on Cortes Island, and honestly? Nature completely reschooled me on my entire approach. 🌿

While harvesting and foraging local foods with the incredible Chef Robin(@swallowtailtours ) and Annie (@fun.gal.mycology ), I caught myself doing what so many of us do: rushing to get to the end. I was trying to optimize the gathering, speed up the process, and just check the box... yikes, the stress was real.

I got a gentle, much needed reminder right when I needed it: The process IS the purpose.

When you’re gathering your own food, or building a sustainable life, career, relationship, or business, the magic isn’t hiding in the final product. It’s right there in the slow, intentional cultivation.

As a natural researcher who loves a good experiment and definitely knows what it feels like to learn by taking messy action, my biggest takeaways from this retreat boiled down to three things:

1. Keep it simple
You really don’t need to do all the things or collect every single piece of information out there. You just need to learn a little bit, master that one stable foundation, and actually use what you learn.

2. Trust the unseen
So much beauty in nature happens completely out of sight. Just because you can’t see the growth happening underground right now doesn't mean nothing is happening. Trust the timing, and allow yourself to lean into those quiet, resting phases.

3. We aren't meant to forage alone
Gathering, processing, and surviving has always been a communal act. True sustainability means leaning on each other for support and learning together. The real magic happens when we share the load, swap wisdom, and grow as a collective.

Honestly, sitting down with my tea today, I’m just so incredibly grateful. This weekend marked my third year taking the stage as a one of the featured speaker for this community. Locking arms with [@Alliance360sisterhood] and sharing the stage with powerhouses like [@annagradieconfidencecoach],[@lindsay.hindle], [@parkermediainc], [@ilonaspaarclinicalhypnotherapy] feels less like business and more like family reunion.

But looking back at these moments, what I’m most proud of isn’t just the laughs or the beautiful space. It’s the massive shifts that happened.

So many brilliant, high achieving women come into these spaces carrying this quiet, heavy guilt. They tell me about the courses they’ve bought, the certifications they hold, and the notebooks sitting on their shelves gathering dust. They think they just lack motivation.

If that’s you, I want to gently call foul on that. You don’t have a motivation problem. You’ve just been given more information when what you actually need is a system for execution.

This weekend wasn't about adding more to anyone's to do list. It was about taking the gold mines these women already possess and building the actual mechanics to get them moving. No fluff. Just pure momentum.
